Jesus came as God promised, showed us God’s love and kingdom, died for our sins, rose again, and calls us to follow Him and share the Good News.

Who Is Jesus?

The Son of God and promised Savior.

Jesus is the eternal Son of God who became truly human without ceasing to be God. He was born to Mary in Bethlehem, lived without sin, taught the truth, welcomed children and outsiders, and performed miracles that showed His compassion and power. Jesus willingly died on the cross for our sins and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He appeared to His followers, gave them a mission to make disciples, and ascended to heaven. Jesus is the promised Messiah, Savior, Lord, and King.

The Story

God’s promised Savior came to rescue us.

Promised and born

God kept His promise by sending Jesus. He was born in Bethlehem, and angels announced the joyful news that the Savior had come.

Teaching and serving

Jesus taught about God’s kingdom, called disciples, welcomed children, healed the sick, calmed storms, and showed compassion to people in need.

The cross

Though Jesus never sinned, He willingly gave His life on the cross for our sins. His sacrifice shows both God’s justice and His amazing love.

Resurrection and mission

The tomb was empty—Jesus was alive! He appeared to His followers and sent them to make disciples of all nations and share the Good News.

God’s Love

God showed His great love by sending His Son. Jesus welcomes us, forgives us, and brings us near to God.

Jesus is the truth and the way to the Father. We can trust His words, obey His teaching, and follow Him each day.

Jesus cared for people, welcomed children, and served others. His example teaches us to be compassionate and humble.

Share the Good News

Jesus died for our sins and rose again. He sends His followers to tell people everywhere the Good News.

Activity

Four-Part Gospel Story

Fold a sheet of paper into four boxes. Draw the manger, Jesus helping and teaching people, the cross, and the empty tomb. Use your pictures to tell the story aloud. At the bottom, write, “Jesus is alive!”

You’ll need: paper and crayons or markers.
