Tell Someone About Jesus
Sharing the gospel does not require you to be a pastor, preacher, or Bible scholar. If you know Jesus Christ, you can tell someone else what He has done. The gospel is the good news that sinful people can be forgiven and reconciled to God through Jesus Christ.
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
— Mark 16:15 (KJV)
Explain Our Need
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” — Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Sin is rebellion against the holy God who created us. We cannot erase our guilt through good works, religion, generosity, or trying harder. We need a Savior.
Tell Them About Jesus
Jesus Christ is the sinless Son of God. He willingly gave Himself for sinners, died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. This is the heart of the gospel: Jesus saves.
“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 (KJV)
Call Them to Repent and Believe
Jesus said, “repent ye, and believe the gospel.” — Mark 1:15 (KJV)
Repentance means turning toward God rather than continuing in rebellion. Faith means trusting Jesus Christ rather than trusting yourself to make yourself right with God. Explain the truth faithfully, invite them to repent and believe, and trust God with the results.
