Salvation
Salvation is God's gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that all have sinned, that sin separates us from God, and that Jesus Christ came to save sinners through His death, burial, and resurrection.
Why Do We Need Salvation?
The Bible teaches that all people have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Sin separates mankind from a holy God, and no person can save themselves by good works, religion, or personal effort. We need salvation because we need forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and new life through Jesus Christ.
Who Is Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Word made flesh, and the only Saviour. He lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. Through Him, sinners can be forgiven and reconciled to God.
What Did Jesus Do for Us?
Jesus took upon Himself the penalty for sin. His blood was shed for the remission of sins, and His resurrection shows His victory over sin, death, and the grave. Salvation is not earned; it is received by grace through faith in Christ.
Repentance and Faith
The Bible calls sinners to repent and believe the gospel. Repentance means turning from sin and turning to God. Faith means trusting in Jesus Christ, believing who He is and what He has done, and receiving Him as Lord and Saviour.
What Happens After Salvation?
A person who comes to Christ is forgiven, made new, and called to follow Jesus. The Christian life is a daily walk with God through His Word, prayer, obedience, fellowship, and growth in the Holy Spirit.
