In the Beginning
God created—and called His world very good.
God spoke light, sky, land, plants, sun, moon, stars, sea creatures, birds, and animals into being. Then God created humanity in His own image. He formed Adam from the dust, breathed life into him, and placed him in Eden to work and care for the garden. God created Eve from Adam’s side as his equal human companion. They lived in fellowship with God until they distrusted His Word and ate the forbidden fruit. Sin brought shame and separation, yet God came looking for them, clothed them, and promised that the serpent would one day be defeated.
