Who Was Joseph?
A faithful son, servant, prisoner, and leader.
Joseph was one of Jacob’s twelve sons. His brothers became jealous of him and sold him into slavery in Egypt. Joseph was later falsely accused and put in prison, yet the Lord remained with him. God gave Joseph wisdom to understand dreams, and Pharaoh placed him in authority over Egypt. During a severe famine, Joseph helped save many lives—including the family members who had harmed him.
