Who Was Aaron?
Moses’ brother and Israel’s first high priest.
Aaron was the older brother of Moses and Miriam. When Moses worried about speaking, God appointed Aaron to help communicate His message. Aaron stood with Moses before Pharaoh and helped lead Israel out of Egypt. At Mount Sinai, God chose Aaron and his sons to serve as priests, caring for worship and offering sacrifices for the people. Aaron also made serious mistakes, including giving in to pressure and making the golden calf. His story shows both the privilege of service and the need to remain faithful to God.
